oh hey learning journal, it's been a while.

So its pretty clear I've been shunning my learning journals, not only do I not want to do them, but I sort of feel like I dont have anything to actually say half the time. I'll sit down at my laptop and completely draw a blank as to what Im about to write about what I learned this past week, its kinda frustrating. Hopefully this one makes up for all the lost ones, haha.

So for my lack of learning journals and for final learning reflection purposes, I'll give a quick recap. After a very refreshing break, I found myself back in room G6, meeting with my inquiry group, discussing Truman's (mainly Truman anyway) decision to drop the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. When inquiries first started, I thought the Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test was such a brilliant idea for further discussion. I researched it quite a bit, but still had a hard time pinpointing a specific event. Or I'd find something really controversial, but that would be the issue. It was already blatantly inhumane or wrong. So I didn't need to find the truth as to why people thought it was wrong, when a majority of people would deem it so.

When time came to narrowing down events as a class, I chose Hiroshima because based on Steph, Leyne, and Emmanuelle's presentation, it seemed to be a solid event and full of resources and great inquiries... I was pretty stoked, not gonna lie :) There is so many questions as to who's decision it was to drop the bomb or if it was justifiable. I feel like right now, our group is heading on the right track though, and where we are is where we should be. When we come to a final decision, I think it is going to be BOMB, seriously! (no pun intended)

Hiroshima....OUT!
